Built by a science teacher
Back-Pocket Science comes from a high school science teacher who has taught Biology and Chemistry to students across a wide range of ability levels.
I currently teach Honors and IB Higher Level Chemistry at a nationally ranked high school.
Over the years, I have seen the same problem again and again: students often do not struggle because they cannot learn science. They struggle because the explanation they were given did not make sense to them.
A different approach
The goal here is simple: explain science clearly, connect ideas together, and give students opportunities to practice what they actually need to understand.
The website provides free Biology and Chemistry lessons, while the teacher resources are designed to be practical enough to use in a real classroom.
